OT: Real names.

remember years ago most people on SI used their real name. Now it seems we're in the minority.

Here is a bit of twisted reasoning...
Let's look at you and me.

With me, you can be fairly sure that my real name is not actually cAPSLOCK kEYSTUCK. But we must take you word that you are actually who you say you are. Even if there is a real live Michael D. Cummings up in the Northwest (hope the quake wasn't too hard on you!!) we can't be sure that this is actually your name, or just a realistic assumed identity. And before a chorus of "NO! I know Mike and he's real" starts to be sung. I am not accusing you. I believe you. For what it's worth. ;)

So, we really know nothing more about your identity than mine except we know my real name is actually NOT what I post under.

Funny thing: disclosure in cyberspace...

regards,
James (you can call me 'cAPS')

The reason we all changed our names was because of the threats we received from market manipulators.

I have been a member of SI since 12/96.

If you use your real name I believe you are taking a serious risk...
