Hi Keith; Hmmmm......do you guys use a broker?...I just assumed everyone was placing their own orders directly with a brokerage or a fund company. Do you talk to someone for advice?

My brother-in-law (who, by the way, is a great fellow), retired about the same time as I did and decided to pay an advisor a fee to manage his accounts...the fee is 2-3% of the portfolio on an annual basis, I think....He did well during the good years, but has been down-in-the-mouth lately.......well, haven't we all?

I checked on a managed account before I retired....the guy said he guaranteed he would do a full review and make changes in the account twice a year......huh?.....I wasn't satisfied with that, so decided I would do it myself, thank you very much.....

Now, the guide on the fishing trip obviously knows a lot...besides he has fish locators, etc. Is there an equivalent success that a market guide can have?? I guess I am disillusioned about any guru or timing signal or "proprietary indicator" working when you need it most...which is off the right side of the chart.......But, I am willing to listen.

The disillusionment mentioned above is precisely why the AIM concept appeals to me....Unfortunately for me, I started AIMing last April, so it has been a lot of buying, and the real worth of AIM (up as well as down volatility) has not yet benefited me......but I am pretty patient, despite my earlier post..the cycle will complete again and the lower cost shares will be redeemed at higher prices.

I like your thought about keeping our thinking fresh, but I'm not sure where that leads (remember that you are dealing with someone with about the brain energy of a mud cat..........).....now that I think of it, I believe fish is supposed to be brain food, so since you filled your boats and undoubtedly your tummy with all that good food, let the other shoe drop, and let those thoughts out!

Congrats on the good fishing trip....and I liked your analogy.

Regards, Bud
