I hear what you are saying....all of you... Don't want to continue with it...but one thing I have to say though... Most of what you read in the media, is just incorrect representation of the facts...facts twisted to show the worst, macabre picture...there are good people everywhere...there are bad people everywhere... How do I know ? Coz I lived there for 9 years....never had to sacrifice anything that can be genuinely called freedom....the only thing I really could have missed would have been porn, but I'm not a big fan, so it was probably okey to have good TV and video....other than that, I do't think there was any major difference between here and there....there are anti-littering laws here too....how often are they really implemented ? Its the same there... After living there for 9 years, we then moved to another country <a modern one> which is considered to be aligned to the western values. Lived there for 4-5 years, I found the societal structure there much more opressive than in Middle East...covertly though....they have all the right laws but I was an innocent victim of that oppression.... And I have never ever heard the media tout the inequalities and oppressions in that second country ???? LOL We tend to question, condemn what we don't understand....and the reality is, the West will never understand Asians.....and since it doesn't understand, the media exploits the differences....and paints a picture which is inccorrect and offensive... Never believe anything the papers say unless you have witnessed it, experienced it. Do your own DD ! LOL <thank you ladies and gentlemen, its been a pleasure>
