I feel that guns were always pretty easily available years ago. The level of regard for the value of life, and lack of fear of the results of one's actions has changed dramatically in the last few generations, IMHO.

Comparison of American and English crime of several types should be viewed only after consideration of each country's drug laws. I believe a significant percentage of US prison population is serving time for drug related crime.

Then I suggest you get on the phone with Feinstein and pass a law at feinstein.senate.gov

PS: The gun was at his house, locked in a safe I might add - he lifted the key and basically took it/stole it without permission.
