Intel just cut CPU prices yesterday, after making a major cut earlier this year. Since AMD has to match to keep market share, it is going to cut into profit margins of both companies. Ratchet your EPS numbers down again.

I can get a 1 GHz CPU today for the price of an 850 a month ago. Haven't bought either because don't need more power with today's applications.

<PC sales - units or dollars?>

I stand corrected, I had thought that units sales peaked with the Y2K issue.

This could mean that some of the semis (PC centric and with little communication infrasturcture exposuret)
will recover sooner than thought...
(at least sooner than I think)

Big if would then be power in California this summer. Wiht the Northwest hydro out, how
will we keep the fabs running after July ? If you shut down a few fabs making critical parts,
PC makers don't need to buy the rest of the parts.

I will wait for the SOX to rise some more, then buy puts...
