.<< I am an incurable optimist long term.>>
As another incurable bull, who has generally lost for a year,I have to fight re-investing all the time and ask my wife to tell me each morning " the market can go down".
So I post that list of 4-letter stocks that has now gone down an average of 52% in the last two months alone.
And because I think it is too risky to call a bottom except for excitement of the game.
There is something eternally optimistic about America inhabitants/. Jules Verne described it well- they tear down mountains to build railroads( across the Salt Lake), build rockets to go to the moon.
So you know there are a whole bunch of underemployed brokers and fund managers who are dying to
issue the next killer IPO and make double profits by selling junk to an unsuspecting public.
They will return.
And investors are momentarily seeking safety, but the volatility and churning from oils to retails to reits to bonds
tells me they will not for long settle for puny returns. They are looking for better and a flood of money will
come in to the next hot area when jobs and income appear more secure. That should occur when Mr Greenspan stops talking and the market stabilizes a bit.

That is exciting. I will have to read DH's post. Here's one I own I'm hoping it has bottomed.

<<
07:12 ET StorageNetworks (STOR) 13 3/8: Lehman initiates coverage with a BUY rating and $28 price target. Feels that STOR's first mover advantage in the storage service provider (SSP) market and strategic relationships should reduce customer acquisition costs. Feels that company's revenue visibility is relatively high.>>

CRA did make high low off the bottom but is still in it's downtrend a break above 54.9 would bring it out of it's downtrend, the problem with that I have seen many failed break outs.

<, I wonder what will happen 3 1/2 years from now, when it begins to dawn on Wall Street the unimaginable power to drive change that will radically alter civilization as we now know it that Celera is uniquely positioned to wield?>

I know you hang around over here on occasion:

Best info on biotech that I've run into including hedge funds and brokers... I don't think these guys are high on CRA, lots of hype by CV. I'm curious as to where you see them making their money going forward?
