Oops, one more. The closing price is a transaction that took place. Bid/ask are wanna-be prices, if they are different from the last price then nobody agrees or are willing to trade at those levels, therefore, not real.

Throw a market order out there and see what happens.

DuGen, yes, historical pricing goes by the last trade. But portolio pricing goes by the bid.

It is the proper way to price a portfolio.

Pricing a portfolio has nothing to do with how technical analysts chart stocks.
