I think in the case of doing good, the practical results are the same. I take it, then, that you have no quarrel with me as a neighbor but that you are only concerned for my soul? Or are you concerned that I, your neighbor, will inevitably do you wrong unless I download the software? Karen

Many great brokerage houses in the sky encourage practices I consider personally evil- the Christian Bible for example, has the seeds of genocide in it. It is a book by separatists for separatists. It is not alone in being a separatist book for people who want to feel special. Neo wants to feel special- and he apparently doesn't need a book. The problem is that people can do evil with your book and without. The problem is in ourselves, not in our books, or in our great brokerage CEO's in the sky. I happen to think that if we REALLY thought about things- instead of giving our will over to others, we would be less likely to do evil, as I personally imagine "evil". People do great evil en masse- a bunch of free thinkers never get together and carry out a holocaust- you need followers for that. In a world without followers there would be no large scale holocausts. There might be a few small scale mass murders- but on balance I prefer a few people running amok by themselves, to million people following one person who has run amok.
