Isn't Samsung one of the Korean companies that sells microwave ovens ?

Maybe the spokesperson who made the remarks earlier today used to have the job where the radiation level of the microwaves is tested, by putting your head inside ...

Maybe [GSM handsets are] where the weakness is...

That was my initial thought. Per an analysts call with Samsung execs last Spring they were making a big push into Europe. And we know that there is no CDMA in Europe.
