There is another, interesting possibility: AMD has chosen to differentiate the Palomino name-wise. Athlon+ or something... The changes from Tbird to Palomino would certainly warrant it if some of the more persistent rumors are to be believed:

- SSE
- PowerNow! (known)
- Hardware prefetching
- Lower power consumption
- Cache enhancements
- TLB enhancements
- Predictor enhancements
