You forgot to highlight the important part of that article. <ggggg>

"In another report, consumer credit rose at an annual rate of 12.6 percent in January, the fastest pace in two months, up from a 5.6 percent rate in December. Consumers made heavy use of credit cards and took out loans to finance such things as news cars and vacations in January"

Remember that part of Greenspan's speech about the consumer saying one thing but actually doing another?
