I went through that. Called and was told the insurance hadn't paid yet. Took the notice from the insurance in and no one was available to cut a check. Then I got a credit in the mail. Two more calls to get a check. It almost wasn't worth the hassle. Wife noticed the insurance had been billed for a second operation on her knee that wasn't done. She notified the insurance and the doctor's office responded by turning my wife over to a collection service for not paying the co-pay on the operation that wasn't done.
