They will be making money exactly the way they had been making so far and will have to figure out new ways. It is a viable entity and will stay as a force to reckon with. Going forward lot of innovation will also be required. But they blew it by not buying/merging with a traditional media company. Now it will be "AOL everywhere"

YHOO can make money if it places ads like the CNET does. Check out this example. Now if you have viewed 20K yahoo pages, I am sure you will not miss out ads if structured like this. They affect your psyche subliminally and won't even know about ;)

From me! I have a gazillion yahoo points. I have spent over $2000 on yahoo shopping....that's even more than I have spent at AMZN!
