Re: "P4 is twice the size of the current Athlons, and gets beaten on almost every single PC industry standard benchmark, by a substantial margin" P4 beats Athlon, and every other chip in the world, in Industry standard benchmarks. That means benchmarks the industry is willing to stand behind and publish. "PC industry standard" is another name for selected benchmarks where Athlon looks good but no PC manufacturer publishes.
