heck, as i posted here before, the PC sales rate is going to be just like your refrigerator- how often do you buy a new refrigerator?

ok, well starting soon that's probably about how often you'll buy a new PC .... and imo, you'll buy a new cell phone only slightly more often!

I guess the nightmare scenario is that the PC biz starts looking like the disk drive biz...lots of technical progress...but not enough demand for higher performance...and not a lot of profit.

OTOH with the recent plunge in corporate IT spending perhaps people should have seen this coming. Will PC demand rebound in a stronger economy?? Gentlemen...step up and place your bets!!! <ggg>
