flap, if you want to ban guns, simple, pass a constitutional amendment overturning the second amendment. Because, guess what? It's a right in America to own a hand gun. Not a privilege, a right.

Of course, Democrats would never propose something as courageous as that. They would much rather end the right, by passing a few hundred more meaningless laws.

Clinton tried to pass a lot of laws. Was successful in a few. Only one thing though, he never wanted to uphold a-one of-them. Passing a law, and then not enforcing it, is completely meaningless. It might make you feel better the law exists. (at least we're doing something!). But that's about it.

Democrats like to do a lot of meaningless things, such as form blue ribbon task forces that go on forever. Republicans like to measure results, and ask whether something has actually worked.

Flap:

Why is it that the liberal establishment consistently reviles the "religious right" for mixing religion and politics but says nothing respecting the antics of the religious left, like the "Rev." Jesse Jackson. I am truly enjoying seeing his hypocritical, extortionate methods being exposed. JLA
