Re: "Flap, if you want to ban guns, simple, pass a constitutional amendment overturning the second amendment." Reread my posts, Mr. Republicans-are-right-all-the-time. I have never advocated banning guns. If the Republicans (and NRA) were smart, they'd at least initiate discussion on some of these firearms concerns, i.e., schoolchildren slaughtering other schoolchildren. Doing nothing and clinging to the Second Amendment will prove harmful to the cause in the long run. When the Democrats regain power (and it's just a matter of time because of the population shift in this country), the anti-gun backlash will be that much more severe.
