Hispanics have come about even with blacks, which dilutes the influence of the black vote. They vote about 30% Republican, and, unlike blacks, they tend to follow the pattern of trending Republican as they advance socio- economically, so the number is likely to grow. In the next twenty years. Asians are expected to increase, as a percentage of the population, only to about 6%; blacks are expected to decline slightly; and hispanics are expected to grow a little more. In 20 years, whites will still be the majority, albeit somewhat diminished. Given the tendency to higher birthrates among the strongly religious, the white demographic is likely to become even more Republican, thus balancing the slight decline in overall numbers. I will not speculate about further down the road, but for the next 20 years or so, the demographics favor Republicans.......

The premise behind that opinion is racist.

The United States is becoming less white. And that spells trouble for the Republicans down the road.

"Hence, as the percentage of Hispanics and African-Americans grows in the United States, that ain't good news for the Republican Party. "

Flap if these people grow but keep their failed cultures this is bad news for everybody. Assimilate assimilate assimilate or the US is history and we will see a divided and racist country. Two people with opposing cultures cannot occupy the same space

For the most part, if the Republicans reach out to attract more minorities to the party, they by necessity will alienate their white base.
Wrong. All that is required is that they understand that the conservative philosophy offers them and their children a chance to prosper as a result of their own efforts and labor and that the liberal "promise" is a vacant mirage that is poison. No more than this is required. They'll know what to do.

AND you are assuming that "their white base" is racist; it is not. They will gladly welcome people of other races who achieved prosperity because they deserved it. That base will, though, reject incompetents whose only achievement was qualifying for an affirmative action giveaway based on their skin color.

Have you noticed that Asians are having little trouble achieving acceptance. That's because they get their butts in gear and work for what they want.

flap,

>> Hence, as the percentage of Hispanics and African-Americans grows in the United States, that ain't good news for the Republican Party.<<

Let's see if we can sort this out; bad news for the Republicans conversely means good news for the Democrats, right? But why then, does good news for the Democrats always end up being terrible news for the whole country?

Watch what happens when all the Boomers are on Social Security in the next 10-25 years, and the "let the government do everything for everybody all the time" bills come due. Should be interesting to see how long the current minorities aka future majority will remain loyal to liberal politicians.

The libs will reap the "rewards" of 5+ decades of pandering to racial and minority "leaders" like Jackson and Sharpton, et al.

I think the Democratic party will be a forgotten memory long before the Republicans. (Hey, how about "forgotten memory" - now that's what I call an oxymoron)
