We will continue to hear such things on any bad day from here on out until the danger has passed. I was sitting here just waiting for today's rumour to start. -ng

Pulling back from the abyss now. I am tempted to run for cover, but I see the CSCO bounce, other than the initial rush of value seekers, is on seriously declining volume. Will hold for another few minutes...

Folks, we have come full circle as Marc Andresson and Netscape effectively started the revolution, mania, whatever you want to call it. And now he has effectively ended it as LoudCloud, one of the most anticipated IPO's of 2001, is a COMPLETE DISASTER.

ROFLMAO.

Heinz: 'intervention?" You are kidding right?

Isn't this grinding attrition worse than capitulation?

It seems that to get to a recession we have to first get past the low or zero-growth stage and not all economic indicators will be pointing down simultaneously. So the grind continues with no apparent panic. Secondarily, the optimists will always expect a turnaround just around the corner with no realistic scenario of how it can happen. This keeps the market buoyant intermittently and there is soooo much money on the sidelines waiting for opportunity.

Things maybe souring but this is not an economy short on assets or resourcefulness.
