I have a Coolpix800 (2.1mp) and load my best pics to Zing.

From time to time I order hard copies through them, and I'd say there is NO difference between a photomat and what they turn out, in terms of quality.

In fact, I've got two framed 5x7's on my desk right now that prove it. At least as far as I (average joe) can see ;)

PS: The one thing you have to watch out for is that 4x6s get cropped, so sometimes WYS is not WYG.

I used www.shutterfly.com to print digital pictures from my Epson 850Z camera. I had an assortment of 8x10's 4x6's, and wallet-sized made. They all looked fantastic.

I printed only the very best pictures out of literally hundreds I took. Sure beats getting a bunch of crappy looking pictures back from Wal-Mart.
