What a day! Everyone was clearly running for the cash exits so went the other way. Became over-margined in the last hour for the first time this year. Probably a mistake but my gut hurts. That's usually a good sign in hindsight.

Just call me the max margin madman.

Come on Greenspan, announce a surprise rate cut!

If you held your tech into the close you have brass balls imho. I'd consider day trading, but not holding overnight. Have to believe there will be some margin calls, margin selling next week. Wonder what breaking 2000 will do to sentiment and fund flows?

What an ugly day. Increased my gold exposure by buying KGC. The gold sector is looking more and more similar to OSX 48 imho. The problems with the Nasdaq are not going away anytime soon even if we manage some rallies from time to time.

Slider has done an excellent job on the gold story so I'm not going to rehash his arguments - suffice to say I'm in 100% agreement.
