Was America at war or peace during 1992-2000? If we were at peace, where did all our smart bombs go?

flap,

>> Refresh my memory, Chas. Was America at war or peace during 1992-2000? <<

America was at peace, not because of the Democrats, but because Bush Sr. spoke softly and carried a big stick. The troublemaking regimes across the world saw that we had the cajones to wield that stick if we had to. That was in 1991. Move forward 10 years and no one respects US anymore. Not since they learned they could control us by buying the control strings cheaply with "donations" to the Democrats and Clinton's favorite charities - Democrats and Clinton.

>> Did your stock portfolio double or get cut in half during 1992-2000? <<

YES to both choices. My stock portfolio did double from 1992-2000, but then it fell by 50% by the end of 2000. I believe the math comes out to 0% gain over eight years. Of course now I feel so guilty for not having any capital gains to pay taxes on.

>> Did America enjoy full employment or did we have a lot of people out of work between 1992-2000? <<

You got me again, flap. Yes to both options again. We had full employment and now we have a lot of people out of work.

>> Yeah, I agree. It would have been better if Bill Clinton had higher morals. But whose presidency was a success ... Clinton's or Carter's? <<

Once again you are right on both counts. Carter's Presidency begat Reagan's and Clinton's Presidency begat GWB's. Tough call, though. Which is better: incompetence or immorality? At least the results were positive in both cases.

<< Between 1992-2000 we had a ribald president but a robust presidency. Funny how things work out like that from time to time.<<

I guess by "robust" you mean the fact that the Republicans took over the Congress in 1994 and kept Bubba and his bride from screwing things up even more than their 1993 tax increase and attempted nationalized health "plan".

You are good at this analysis and interpretation stuff, flap. You ought to work for the DemocRAT's propaganda machine... er, Party.

Chas

flap,

Did I miss it or have you finally seen the error of your lib ways, and not tried to rebut my response (#6088) to your (#6075). If you have conceded the points, then I am proud of you for recognizing the truth; if you are just ignoring out of spite my response to you, then shame on you. But if you are just too embarrased to admit you can't refute me, then my pity for you is the only emotion left to me. However, if you just haven't seen it yet, then never mind the foregoing jabs. :)

Chas

Refresh my memory, Chas. Was America at war or peace during 1992-2000?

There was an undeclared war on the rule of law in this country spearheaded from 1992-2000 perpetrated by the criminal enterprise known as "the Clinton Administration". I was particularly struck this morning by the contrast between the obvious integrity and professionalism of Bush AG, John Ashcroft, on the talking head shows this Sun. and Don Clinton's consigliere, Reno. Thank God the USSC stopped Gore from stealing the last election!! JLA
