Ted:

Would CNBC stop inviting Henry Blodget. he has done more damage than any analyst living or dead. He exists because of the name Merrill Lynch, and it is ashame that brokerage name is tainted by Henry's blatantly erroneous analyses of the internet, especially about Amazon. Here is what a business reporter in LA said today about Henry Blodget:

Thank you.

1) Please ask about NEM hedge book liability. Remember, the last gold price rally brought about real problems for Ashanti & Cambidor because of excessive hedge positions.
This needs include a solid discussion of their puts calls forward sales & bullion loans from bullion banks. If we can hear a solid discussion of the Human Geanome, the number of hits or eyeballs on DotComs or a possible aids vaccine from any number of companies with NO PROFITS hedge book discussion for companies with real or near profits should not be out of reach for the "average investor".

2) ask about the many reports of the shortage of physical bullion
With the level of discussion of we hear about Napster(is it even public)when will hear from AU, ABX, HM, GOLD, HGMCY, SIL, PAAS,.......?

Looking forward to the interview with NEM ceo on Monday. Maybe you could ask why all the major brokerages were downgrading the gold mining companies as they were reporting earnings ahead of expectations.

Maybe you could ask why Lehman bros. downgraded them the morning before NEM announced it beat expectations? Also why did Solomon and Golman Sachs slash estimates immediately after the earnings announcement with no negative comments from NEM.

I would really like to hear the true story on supply and demand as it has been completely misreported by the major brokerages. Production is at a low while demand is increasing, as reports have shown over the last few weeks. About the same time that the major brokerages started downgrading -g-

Good job on giving some of these companies (precious metal producers) a chance to tell the real story.

M.

Ted. Re: Newmont interview - ask him why so many companies are willing to continue to forward sell their reserves at below $300 when it costs closer to $400 to replace those reserves. How long can that last?

Hi Ted! I'm a high techie who has the highest respect for Gold as a Currency and a genuine investment alternative. I'd like to see CNBC present a more balanced view of Gold in the future. We all know about the negative aspects. It would be nice if CNBC spoke about the positive aspects also in the interest of fair play. Thank you. Message sent on my Palm IIIx.

Is NEM encouraged by the natural resource background of the current US administration?

* Bush - oil

* Cheney - oil

* O'Neill - aluminum

and now

* Kenneth Dam - aluminum

Thank you, Ted!

I think the media reports on gold are mostly biased, hopefully he can tell us the real story. Now that the PM sector has outperformed SP500, Dow, and NASDAQ since November, I guess, many will be interested to hear his views

Ted:

Could you ask Newmont CEO his take on the recent surge in lease rates? Because where lease rates lead -- gold and gold stocks usually follow.

Thanks for asking my questions in today's interview, CEO of Newmont Mining. The interview was well done and gave people a chance to meet a sharp businessman in a tough industry that has had no respect for years.

Keep up the good work.

M.
