If Greenspan has his way it will be the later, and even though he thinks he is the MOTWE (Master of the world economy) the other player is the collective conscience of the unwashed masses and they are fickle. I wish I had more honesty in the government's numbers, but here for your perusal are the current FED published growth rates (all annualized) in money supply.
