I had State Farm as a teen. They hiked my rates on every ticket and cancelled me outright when they found out my 68 charger had a blower. <ggg>

I was forced to switch to GEICO back in 83 when I went overseas as they were the only military based company that would insure me on Guam at the time. I was too lazy to switch after returning to the states. Now 20 years later, I get a ticket every year or so ( I still like to drive too fast <g>) I restore and race British Cars yet I have never had a rate increase. Despite my fast paced driving, I have never had an accident though. I shopped around a year or so ago and no one came close to their rates.

I think that all insurance companies probably give lower rates after having you as a policy holder for a while. They figure if you are low risk, they are better off keeping you than risking some new guy that might hit a bus full of kids every month.

Now of course if they would have witnessed me going on two wheels around the SCCA course in my GT6, they might have raised my rates on the spot a while back. <gggg>

Good Luck,

Lee

Ice, like a good neighbor state farm is there. I saw in a recent Road and Track the new BMW M3 beat a 911 in 0-60 and 1/4 mile- surprising. mike
