The theory is the labor hall didn't provide enough security although it was rented as an empty building. With juries today I'd bet there is a settlement. Remember OJ is still looking for the killers. A local lawyer sued GTE over a traffic death in Chicago. The dead dude was doing 85 on a tollway with a blood alcohol of .22 and hit a pothole. The car started flipping and he was tossed out 100' off the road on the utility right-of-way. His neck came in contact with a guy wire to a phone pole in the right-of-way, separating his head and body. I thought good riddance, the jury thought $20 million.
