Not true, Z, Not true at all -- tell me what gold did in some of those Asian currencies ...

In the next 6 - 9 months we won't have to worry about such academic musings -- we'll have the real test case as the US economy plunges into a rather nasty recession.

Then you can come back and explain why gold is such a poor hedge against economic turmoil, a falling USD, etc.

Is there any truth in this post about margin debt being at an all time high. Last report I saw a few weeks back showed a big decline from last spring!
