Amazon has the market share globally. Walmart could help them hold onto that and then make profits on it. Remember the main reason they lost money was because of all the competition. Now there is almost no competition. So they can gradually raise prices and bingo. Small profits but huge volume = value.

Wal-Mart too smart to buy Amazon, they don't need it IMO
one day Amazon will change its name to Wal-Mart.ZON and
Bezos will work for Wal-Mart. Just it!
