are we talkin about execution with a contra broker or with your customer ?? I think we are talkin about two difft things >>>

if you are a market maker in ABCD in a house trading account, why would you charge yourself a markup in a transaction you do with another member?...i am talking about transactions between members and customers. when a member deals with a customer, the member is allowed to charge a markup and act as riskless principal (which is, to regulators, virtually the same as an agency trade) as long as it is disclosed on the confirm. ill check the nasd manual to find the ruling.
