If American Indians have land we want kill them or put them on reservations...
Musn't let them mess with manifest destiny.

Ah ideas and religions- when they are more important than pain to living creatures, something smells (imo yada yada, relativist, etc etc)

...and if Iraqi children and villagers outside of Saddam's regime represent some spurious link to the @sshole, sanction them to death by the millions.

Don't you think that we (the U.S.) are on pretty weak ground making these kinds of accusations towards others considering our checkered past? Consider some of our conquests that were motivated by unbridled quests for economic wealth for a few!!

There were probably as many as 10 million Native Americans in California alone prior to the arrival of the Spanish. After our diseases killed off 8 million, the remainder was so weakened and demoralized that our march across the continent met with minor resistance (compared to what it could have faced had the opposition been in full strength). We won't even go on to discuss slavery which had been eschewed by every other post-Industrial country at the time (including, finally England.)

But the Native Americans got their revenge with STD's, making sex a lot less fun for Europeans (even downright dangerous) and promoting a Puritanical rejection of sins of the flesh. That attitude is still with us in some circles now that the new plague of HIV is here.

Edit: Funny X said something very similar.
