Art:

You're probable right, and I did say they were a first "rough" estimate. We don't know the pricing on the new 6000 chipset yet, which as Ben pointed out seems to be in part aimed at the Chinese market, and Unicom may be aiming to produce a ton of bare bones cell phones with few bells & whistles selling for 50% of the $242 price I assumed for all we know. That would lop my 14c/share down pretty quickly.

It also seems to me that the 10/million/year build out rate is optimistic, it's like adding an entire Sprint network each year. But that's what all the Chinese press reports have consistently said.

Still no reports in the US press or online coverage that I've seen today repeating these Chinese press reports that we've had over the weekend on the firm plans for bidding on equipment for the Unicom CDMA network buildout . Strange that we seem to lag a couple of days behind the Chinese press reports. Maybe a chance to make a little on the news like I did last fall, though that would be a risky step in this market.
