I agree with you on the stance. I was really referring to the statement Right or wrong, he's sticking by his words. I've heard people say that, and I don't understand it. My point really had nothing to do with politics, only humans nature to be stubborn and unwilling to admit they are wrong. Also blindly following your party (it's easy to rationalize just about anything).

Back to politics, whatever happens happens. But I don't think Bush has enough of a presence to make people comfortable with him as a leader - one that can keep this country prosperous (I'm not sure Gore could have, either). And I definitely think that will lead us to a changing of the guard in 2004. In history, this past election will not be forgotten, but GWB will. (IMO of course)

Its a very egocentric viewing of the world.

Ted, I would say that the belief that the government should decide what to do with a large percentage of the wealth generated by its citizens is an egocentric and power seeking viewing of the world by those that spend the money and those that push for a lot of spending.
