I wonder how they would be treated?

Good question... I suppose it would depend on how those folk treated their audience. Would they attempt to push their services, books, or picks? (Or were you specially trying to differentiate between book authors and commercial chat rooms/picking services? IMHO, the financial end goal is basically the same here.) Would they offer some quid pro quo in exchange for their audience "listening" to the advertisements? Would they expect special or different treatment from SI due to their guru status?

Sam

It's a delicate matter but one, I suspect of style.

If one ONLY offers a teaser of information as a come-on to a paid site, and keep hawking the paid site, it could ruffle feathers. Or if one ONLY posts one's calls publicly AFTER the time period in discussion.

If one genuinely offers useful information/discussion so that a thread here is stand-alone, I doubt anybody would mind that it is linked to a paid site.

You always offered a lot of information on ispec site, and now you are offering all those charts. That is a tremendous amount of info, AND the discussion on this thread is helpful.

I know you've been busy with a baby and recalibrating your site. I will say sometimes I've wished you would post more often here on SI as your insights are so good. Also, when you post on this thread, other great people become more active. So for those of us who aren't ready/able to trade with you daily, its very helpful.
