so today is a combo rain/sleet/snow
3 degrees lower and it would be another foot of snow
20 miles North of us it is white
the concern today is street flooding (clogged drains) and roof caveins from the weight of rain on the snow

as to the QQQ's
sure, they could fall a lot lower
but I feel the need to do something
so 7% in them is livable
a 50% drop from here (nasd appox 1000) is an equity loss of 3.5%
livable

to ohers here:
this market fall is NOT the result of some grand plan
there is not a small group of gnomes sitting in Switzerland taking away all out money
sure, a few hedge funds have made a killing on the short side
but overall the loss is shared broadly

the market went up 200% because people bought stocks
it has fallen because people have sold
but look at a 10 year chart of the broad market
things are not that far off of a "normal" return level

interesting that a year ago Warren Buffet was just an old fuddy duddy who was out of touch with reality and did not understand the new pair of dimes
this week he is a hero, yet again
