Naturally I loathe all those. But that list omits other abhorrent traits: - the destruction of knowledge and culture of which the regime disapproves - the distaste for democracy, and preference for secretive security/economic groupings with high-level access working behind the scenes to influence or control policy - propaganda and crude assertions replacing news - the overt focus on militarist glamour and the glorifying of uniforms and weaponry - patriotism taken to the point of fanatical xenophobia and contempt for any foreign person or system. Of course, those themes are always common with the extreme and extremely moronic right-wing. Don't you see them when you look in the mirror? However, I don't claim to be a 'social-welfare state leftist' myself. So I didn't think you were asking me; and that's why I recommended you ask someone who is, or at least comes from a country where they have experienced that.Funny, I don't see people voting with their feet to live there. So try looking. These are only small countries, remember, and not easy to reach for poor immigrants (they have to cross many other borders first) but they are and have been very welcoming and also have high numbers applying to live there. Sweden and Norway, at least, control the numbers in order not to cause strains on their welfare systems or problems with unbalanced immigration. Aside from their lamentable histories, their societies are in permanent decline and have been living off the enterprise of other nations for years. Lamentable? What?? Finland has something to lament, having only been independent from Russia since 1918, but now they are all wealthy, stable and civilised. As for living off others, WTF are you talking about? Slavery? Not since Viking times - that's about 600 years before you got round to ending it. Empires? Nope - again, not since Viking times (well, Sweden ruled Norway for some time pre-1815, but didn't get rich from it). They're technologically advanced - for example, far higher %age of mobiles, internet access etc than the USA (or anywhere else). Innovative, too. Heard of Nokia, or Ericsson? They don't get subsidies from the UN, or handouts from anyone... What reality do you base your ignorance upon? Fortunately, I regard your insults with the same respect as your intellect and grasp on reality. [That's equally infinitesimal, in case I lost you]. But I'm sure you'll feel free to respond with more irrelevant and facile invective.
