However, the U.S. is only ranked 4th in Internet users per capita. Finland is the leader with nearly 25% of the population being regular Internet users. The Internet Industry Almanac projects that the U.S will have over 130M Internet users or 40% of the total 327M worldwide Internet users in year 2000. The U.S. is forecasted to grow to 478 Internet users per 1,000 people in 2000 and will be ranked first in per capita Internet usage. These numbers include business, educational and home Internet users.
