My main point is really this: How was it that Roth put Nortel in the position where all of these lawsuits, frivolous or otherwise, have materialized. His recent open letter to shareholders is an insult. Roth stated that Nortel is going to vigorously defend itself, of course Nortel is going to do this. No one is dumb enough to think that Nortel is going to rollover and play dead, I hope!!!!

What is he going to do to make certain that Nortel's forecasting and public relations procedures do not fail again? From a bonus (compensation) aspect, will Roth be penalized or in some way held accountable? Most normal people would get fired for what has happened.

Bosco ---You can countersue in the states . Case in point when QCOM sold it handset division last year a number of employees sued for stock options that they perceived they had lost and wanted to be reimburse for . The Judge threw it out two to three months ago and QCOM is suing to recover legal fees incurred . Most companies do not do this due to the publicity but maybe they should ---it would stop a lot of the frivious lawsuits
