Dave also 1 more point. The Church like any group can attract people who can use it for their own selfish gain. This is no different than people who join the NAACP for their own greed or who become politicians like CLinton who say the right things but feel nothing.
The Church has done a great deal of good. Where it has erred is in protecting its image rather than acknowledging its humanity and moving on after removing the trash
