Ashley: "Reminiscent of Aldous Huxley's writings, such as Doors of Perceptions, and Heaven and Hell"

I have read some of Huxley's works.. Those and of course "Brave New World"..

I think of it more as... PCSTELLISM...

<If Qcom can withold the use of CDMA from new company that would put a different spin on things.>

If QCOM can restrict a possible suitor from using CDMA is really Unconsequential IMO.. QCOM produces the only ASIC for G* devices, and is used in the Telit, ERICY, and QCOM handset.. Also probably the Packet Modem.. They control the Gateway software, and future system enhancements.. QCOM controls Globalstar's destiny...

If you remember when Intel purchased DSP Comm. The licensing agreement had to be modified.. Because DSPC's CDMA license from QCOM WAS NOT TRANSFERABLE to the new owner.. Intel!!

"The license in and of itself was not completely transferable," the spokesman said.

So I would believe that the same license terms hold true for Globalstar..

Of course there are some that somehow believe that a Bankruptcy Judge has the ultimate power to negate the terms of the existing license agreements between parties in which one of the parties is in Bankruptcy.. In other words.. They believe that a Bankruptcy judge will simply take Qualcomm IPR and distribute it to a third party without regard to the wishes of the owners of that Intellectual Property...

I tend to disagree!!
