Paul,

AMD's 1.2 GigaHumper has dropped from $279 to $214 since Intel announced their 1.3 GHz Pentium 4.

You think AMD dropped their price because they DON'T FEEL the competition ?

And Intel's earnings have dropped 25% in the same time period. P4's poor performance has been an industry wide disaster. It doesn't justify a high price, yet at the same time it cuts the legs out from under PIII.

Re: I'm afraid you Droids have some more bitter disappointments in store.

Yeah, like watching AMD go from 1/4 of Intel's price to 2/3's of the price. It just about broke my heart...

I don't think I can take watching the next leg, where AMD goes to $35, while Intel drops to $15.

:-)
