I recommended a P4 to a friend who wants to build his own 3D graphics rendering workstation. Does that count?

Nope. Buying one yourself is the ultimate recommendation. If I remember correctly, there were more than several AMDroids who bought Athlons in the last six months. Now.... are they so much different than people here?? I think not. Again....is there someone following this thread who has bought a P4?? Anyone???

Hi Ten, RE: "maybe Northwood." "consume less power, emit less heat, and create less noise. Having a 55W processor (Pentium 4) or a 65W processor (Athlon) in my computer doesn't really appeal to me."
----------

Which processor does appeal to you?

What is Northwood? (only if it has been announced)

Amy J
