I wish I had bailed in July, but don't we all. So far you have been semi-fortunate: you also have to make sure to reenter before we get back to where you bailed: do you think you have the timing and courage to do that?

Although my gut-feeling is that this downturn may be the nastiest ever, and will last for five years, based on all the doom and gloom I'm hearing, I'm trying to invest with my head. Still, it's hard to avoid feeling like an idiot buying on the way down, and there are plenty around to tell you that you really are the idiot.

But, as Ken made me admit today, I really don't care about the short-term, because my goal is for 3/14/11, and nothing that I would want to survive can keep my tech portfolio in the toilet for ten years.

I'm hoping that the recovery kicks in mid-year, otherwise my LEAPS will be worthless (but I only have about 8% of my assets in LEAPS anyway).
