BTW, I'll give credit where it is due and I think he called the top about the best of anyone with a large following out there.

There are smaller guys that have called the tops and trends well, but you will ALWAYS find these small guys that just happen to hit it right or have the right formula for the current situation. They've had a couple on NBR but they are obscure newsletter writers. Bob, OTOH, has a large following and pretty much called the top in the S&P500.

Now he has to do the other half to make it an effective call. He has to get back in at a level to add value.

"Now if you say he was grandstanding with QQQ to make a name for himself.... betrayal fits but the evidence does not exist to say this for sure"

Grandstanding, perhaps. But I'm just not comfortable with destroying a man's reputation based on speculation. The facts should be enough to make whatever point needs to be made.

"He did spend great effort at "deniability" with no date, entry points, exit points, etc..."

This is a great example of attributing sinister motives to everything he does. Frankly, it's a waste of bits on SI's hard disk. The quote that Gottfried provided is plausible. An alternative explanation could be, "Haste makes waste."
