You'll NEVER be able to confirm that one, dad !!! <gg> This time it's really not my poor comprehension of the Queen's English that is the problem. I'm just having a little difficulty with your "oilfield" because of your rather strong accent !!! <ggg> Let me explain: "Killing" a well implies pumping\loading\injecting a heavy completion fluid\mud into the well so as to counter the reservoir pressure and enable "safe" access to the well (Eg. remove wellhead, pull tubing, etc.). One does not "kill" a well to achieve "shut in" when closing a valve on the Christmas tree can do the same thing. So, if you will allow me to put some words in your mouth, I believe you want to say something like: "Right around 1 PM PST they completed the clean up and shut the well in." If you wanted to embellish, you might also state, "They were about to run pressure recorders to the bottom of the wellbore in preparation for a flow test which is expected to start within the next 24 hours." <<Feel sorry for those who were chased out today.>> Yes, Fear and Greed are powerful emotions !!! Today, I got very greedy (stupid ????), again. <<Doesn't the 120 ft high flare, that was produced during drilling operations, mean there is something down there?>> Hell, what about those flares over the last few days ?? Don't they count for nothing ??? Dad, flares are like penises !!! They simply do NOT have to be big to fulfill their purpose and to be effective !!! <<Could/would they commence the ''flow'' test, after sunset tonight, or is it likely they will they wait until tomorrow a.m.?>> They can start the test as soon as the pressure has stabilized (i.e. built up). My WAG for that time was previously ~12 hrs. So, I presently expect a start sometime between midnight and noon, barring the RO3 and\or Murphy !! Have a good one. Later, grayhairs
