that is very difficult to gauge...imo it is MORE likely that Japanese banksters will dump their various equity holdings, as US treasuries at the moment provide both a profitable rate spread as well as currency gains for them. should the Yen surprisingly begin to strengthen again, they would be more likely to dump US treasury paper imo. currently this part of the paper pyramid/mirage is still intact, as recent strength of the dollar proves.
