Joe - Re: "The whole event (release of 1 GHz notebook CPU by Intel) is just a reaction to AMD. Since AMD 1 GHz mobile CPU is not happening, "

You are in COMPLETE DENIAL .

Intel's customers have completed 1 GHz Pentium II notebook computers ready for sale - and this takes MONTHS of product planning and coordination and manufacturing.

This did NOT happen overnight.

Acccept it.

Intel is WAY AHEAD of AMD in mobile processors - and AMD keeps screwing up - and Intel is executing well.

Shheeesh - you droids are throwing a hissy fit !

Re: I have 2 possible reasons:

What about number 3: Jerry has infiltrated Intel management and is getting them to "Osborne" their own notebook line!
