quite to the contrary. My grandmother suffered from Alzheimer's for 10 years before it finally did her in. Humor regarding the illness was my best way to deal with the grief. This may sound horrible but I avoided her the last 5 months. It was far to painful an experience to visit and she had no idea I was there. I prefer to remember her as she was before this awful disease took her away.

What I do find offensive is those who have applauded Ronnie's suffering the illness. I saw a post regarding this on the LWP one day. That was the last post I ever read on that thread.

My father suffered from Alzheimer's.

Humor helped get us through it...Our favorite was....

One good thing about Alzheimers, you can hide your own Easter Eggs.
