I don't know a lot of folks averaging down. Maybe because this is the midwest. I do know some who have moved out of their equity funds into bond funds... I know some who have bought bonds for the first time ever. I know several who have, margin call after margin call, finally given up the ghost and sold out. I even know a few such as myself who have boxed positions to the max and day traded some of the margin away...

Since I don't go to yuppie parties I have no feel for your perspective. Believe me, I understand there is more pain on the way, but they're out there puking. Don't think they aren't.

BB,

best guess on a Nasdaq price bottom/time bottom. Do you think it will actually violate the lower trendline of the nineties bull market? If so, what is your timeframe?
