How is business anyway? Has it slowed? Every business owner I know is being decimated right now except for doctors and dirt movers(excavating.)

Oh, and guys who run bear funds are doing good too.

Gene,

We have grown year over year at an average 20% for 25 years. We were flat though in growth in 1990-1991. Currently, we had 15% growth in January and 10% in February. We are down 10% in March so we actually need to catch up to not shrink. That puts business 30% below our norm. That is not good. Revenue may be generated by cutting margins but that is just turning dollars. So business is bad. The current weakness initially appears weaker than the early 90s. I ask managers (most stores in the shopping centers are chains) how their business is doing and they say way down. The consumer was my last hold out of hope to avoid a recession. A recession is looking very possible to me now.
