Either I am underestimating the power of the Fed or you are overestimating its power. It appears that you are more bullish than I, since you think we are at MOABO and I think it will come later.

We do agree on this: "The market makes higher highs over time. A buy and hold investor makes out extremely well over time. Time heals all wounds."

Many people believe that selling all equities in January 2000 and moving 100% into money markets was the "conservative" approach. I tend to disagree with that position. I believe that over the very, very long term, it is more conservative to stay fully invested. It is more aggressive to attempt to time exits and entries into the market.

Best wishes,

I2

My initial response to your post was this: "Either I am underestimating the power of the Fed or you are overestimating its power."

After today's market action, it appears I was underestimating the power of the Fed to influence the market (negatively) and you were overestimating the power of the Fed to influence the market (positively). <g>

Best wishes,
